Bike Challenge

On Sunday our friend Gary completed the Leeds- Liverpool Bike Challenge raising money for Heart Research UK. He cycled 127 miles along the Leeds-Liverpool canal over 3 days of rather wet & wintry weather! He arrived in Liverpool, along with 79 other cyclists, at 2pm covered in mud & very wet!
Our boys were fascinated by the bikes (which Luke calls motorbikes) & wondered how exactly they got to be SO muddy! Jordan said 'How did Gary get to have TWO water bottles on his bike??'
We all crammed into our car with Gary's muddy bike in the boot. We just about fitted!
Back at our house we hosed down the muddy bike which the boys LOVED doing!
Timmy got a bit wet in the process though! We had a nice weekend with Gary, Helen & Ian. Luke & Jordan are especially keen on Ian. We've decided that we are going to call him Uncle Ian now, which the boys think is really funny, as he practically is their uncle. Helen & Ian bought the boys some lovely stripy polo shirts over the weekend which are gorgeous. They call them their rainbow T-shirts. (Maybe I'll get a photo to post so you can see why).
Hope you all had a great weekend. ;O)

Looks wet up your way! We just got the helicopter visit in at school today before the heavens opened again at 2.30. I had to decline the offer of sitting in the cockpit as my knees wouldn't have coped with the steep climbing!
Glad Gary's knees survived the long ride.
Yes they are nice polo shirts- I wish they did grown up tops and shoes like they do for kids!!!
Keep well and get plenty of shut eye.
Love Mum xx

Cheeky thing Marie! Timmy has a name sticker on from the kids group at church! All the kids get one, not just our boys & they love to wear them ALL day. ;o)
