Four Years Old.... Already?!

These cheeky monkeys are 4 years old this very day! How time flies! Unfortunately Timmy & Luke have been really poorly for the last week or so so birthday celebrations have been minimal. Having said that, they have had 2 birthday cakes each so far!!! My dear mum made the boys a cake in the shape of their initial to have at teatime on Sunday when Mum & Dad came to visit. We were supposed to be going to see the red squirrels at Formby beach but Luke was so ill, the weather was awful & our car broke down that we had an indoor picnic instead!
My plans for homemade cakes didn't pan out today & the boys didn't get to have birthday cake at nursery today either but the train candles, a few smarties & a ready made iced madeira cake after tea tonight put smiles on their sweet little faces. Actually, Luke hasn't eaten properly since Friday & Timmy has been off his food the past 2 days too so it was quite amazing that they ate any cake at all! Luke had said this morning that he was too ill to eat birthday sweeties....
At tea time Lee's parents & his niece, Lauren & her boyfriend popped in which was nice as they were all there to sing happy birthday to Timmy & Luke. (Lee's family are all a little camera shy but I had to put the photo on here to show they really were there too!). The presents they gave went down a treat.
So, hopefully the boys will all be fit & well for their birthday party on Saturday but in the meantime there is a lot of telly watching & resting in bed going on....
...as well as a lot of medicine to take! The doctor prescribed Timmy & Luke so much Calpol that the pharmacist questioned the prescription!!!! We understood why when we got home & opened the bag!!

Remember the 5th November????

Well, Bonfire Night was a long time ago but at last I have a little bit of time to put on all the piccies from our celebrations. We had 2 fireworks parties in the end- one at our house & the other at my parents house. On the Saturday night we had our friends Kate & Will & their 2 children Elias & Annaliese as well as Kate & Gareth & their children, Zachary & Ruby over for a firework display & sparklers. It has to be said that Jordan & Elias LOVED the fireworks while the rest of the kids sought refuge in our living room! Timmy even asked if he could go to bed to escape the bangs of the fireworks!!! The three blokes had a lot of fun with the sparklers! Annie slept through the whole event- aah!
On the Sunday we drove over to my parents & met Auntie Helen & Uncle Ian there. The boys loved Ian's scooter!
During the afternoon the boys collected firewood with my mum. Timmy enjoyed using a large branch as a scarecrow & paraded it wildly around the garden for quite some time.
The wood made a 'rather splendid fire' later on in the early evening.
Lee was in charge of the firework display & put on a very good show. He didn't even singe his eyebrows!!!!
After the night before's fireworks, Timmy & Luke were not keen to see any more but retreated to the dining room where Timmy enjoyed clapping the Roman candles & Catherine wheels....
...and this is the point where the Catherine wheel flew off the post it had been spinning around on!
My mum cooked chips & pizza to eat while we watched the display. It was delicious! So delicious in fact that Timmy...
...forgot he was a bit scared & came outside into the garden to watch the fireworks with Helen, Ian & Jordan!

The boys held their first sparklers too which they really enjoyed!
But lastly, a word of warning- don't eat baked beans & then stand too close to the bonfire!!!!!!

Funny Faces!

Jordan got given Funny Faces for his birthday by his friend Eve. It is the most hysterically funny board game I have played in a long time! We all laughed a LOT, even when Lee broke the foot rest on the chair!!
And on Thursday Timothy & Luke made gingerbread men at nursery school. They are doing about different fairy stories at the moment. I asked Timmy if they had done the story of the Gingerbread Man & he said without hesitation, 'No! The story was about a funny little man who came in the night & his name was Rumpelstiltskin!'

She's Beautiful!

Not only is she beautiful, she's sleeping through the night at 9 weeks old! What an angel!
And these three boys aren't so bad either! This piccie was taken one tea time when, for some reason one of the boys piped up with 'Take a picture please Mummy!' How could I resist eh?
Having a new baby in the house hasn't quelled the boys love of babies either-they are still besotted with their baby sister....
...they even let her 'play' with their trains!

Randomness!

It's been busy busy here in the Davies household of late what with one thing & another! Not least Jordan's social life! He's been to 3 parties in 2 weeks so we've made quite a few cards & wrapped a few presents together. On Sunday he went to his class mate Jodie & her brother Saul's leaving party. We made an exception as it was a one off & let Jordan go to the party instead of church. Jodie & her family are moving to Spain.
The photo above is from when Jordan had his 4th birthday in nursery school (I made his pirate treasure cake by the way!). Jodie is sat next to him & they have been friends since they were 3 years old. Jordan will miss Jodie very much!
And this photo is of the wonderful Emma with Annie & Luke. The twins get on really well with Emma & her daughter Anya & have been pestering to go to Emma's house for lunch for ages & on Tuesday they did! The boys teachers at school breathed a sigh of relief that they were going there because apparently that's all they go on about at school too! Luke made me giggle when I told him he would be going to Emma's- he said 'Ooooh hooray! I'm going to big Emma & little Emma's house!'
This week we've also done our Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes which the boys all love doing. Timmy & Luke haven't yet got the concept of giving away to the less fortunate & I thought we might of had a riot on our hands when we left the boxes in school but there was no fuss after all. Timmy had wanted to sleep with his box next to his bed & Luke liked using the lid as a hat! It was great fun getting the boxes ready. A huge thankyou to my dear mum for getting the goodies for us & covering the boxes. ;0)

Hooray!

Luke is home from hospital! He came home late on Friday night armed with lots of medicines & an inhaler. He is almost back to his chirpy old self- the steroids & inhaler have made him a bit grumpy & wild at times! I went out for a walk with him yesterday afternoon to see how he got on & you wouldn't have thought he's been in hospital so ill only days before- he ran most of the way to the post box! He was extremely tired when we got home though. Thanks once again for all your support & prayers. We really appreciate them. :0)
This photo was from the twins first nursery trip without me. They went to Sefton Park on the school coach on October 31st & had a whale of a time! Just look at Luke right at the front, posing for the camera!

E.T?

Poor Luke has been very poorly! He suddenly got really ill at nursery school yesterday & couldn't breathe so Lee took him to the doctor who sent for an ambulance to take him to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Luke LOVED going in the ambulance! In true Luke style he had the A & E staff giggling; he kept saying in his most dramatic tone, 'I've got a problem! I've got a problem! (gasping for breath between each word) then when the nurse asked him what was wrong he'd say 'I NEED to buy a yellow ambulance from Tesco'! Luke was admitted to the hospital ward yesterday afternoon & had to have an oxygen mask on all the time, nebulizer every 2 hours & inhalers. He had a monitor strapped to his finger- Luke likes his red light finger!! Needless to say, what with nebulizers & other patients crying neither Luke or Lee slept very well last night!
I went in to the hospital to see Luke this morning thanks to the help of my friend Emma who took Jordan & Timmy to school then drove me to Alder Hey. It was good to see Luke & Lee. While I was there Luke's oxygen levels stabilised so he could come off the oxygen mask (which was just as well as he was getting irritated by it!). He is having the nebulizer medicine in the photo above. The doctor said Luke could just be having a bad reaction to the cold virus that he has or it could be the start of asthma... Let's hope not though...

Emma went to pick Timmy up from nursery & took him back to her house for lunch while I came back from the hospital (in a taxi- Annie's first time!). It's Emma's son's birthday party tomorrow so Timmy & Emma's daughter made the birthday cake together! Apparently they had a wonderful time doing it! And when Emma took her daughter to nursery (the same one as the boys go to) this afternoon the teachers said they would take Timmy for the afternoon session too! I feel very blessed!

Thankyou all so much for your support & prayers it is much appreciated! You have all made it so much easier to deal with. Hopefully Luke is on the mend & will be home soon...

This Boy...

..has a flair for the dramatic! He looks at us through his eyelashes, head to one side & says in a very tiny voice 'I need to be sick in my bed' (by which he means he needs to stay in bed because he's ill!), then he does a stage cough several times followed by a pretend sneeze & says 'Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear!' The funny thing about it is he REALLY isn't well so he doesn't need to act it up, bless his little heart!

And here are some piccies of Annie, now 2 months old, at my mum & dad's house on Sunday because I haven't posted any grandparent pix yet! I have lots more piccies to post from bonfire night when I have a spare moment (ha! Ha!) so do pop back again soon! Hope you are all well.

ETA: Luke has actually taken a turn for the worse & has been taken to hospital in an ambulance as he has breathing difficulties! Poor little boy! Will keep you all posted on how he gets on. Lee has gone to hospital with him so it's just me, Timmy & Annie here this afternoon.... strange....
Latest news on Luke; he is staying in hospital overnight & is on inhalers & lots of medications to help open up his airways. Lee is staying with him..... It's all a bit of a shock really!
