Sport Star!

No, this bee isn't the sport star! I rescued it from our office floor this morning before going to see Jordan in his first school sponsored sports day. It was extremely sleepy (hence the fab piccie of which I am quite proud!) & very grumpy! It did not want to be photographed & kept lifting it's legs up at me! Glad I persevered though coz a busy buzzing bee doesn't stay still long enough to take photo usually.
And now on with the sports day! The whole of the infant school was split into 6 teams to complete 7 races. Each child has been sponsored to raise money for the school to plant a garden in the yard. Jordan was in the Orange team. You can see him in the piccie above under the orange blob doing his warm up to S Club 7's song Reach For The Stars! (Click on the pictures if you want to see them better by the way).
During the balancing a bean bag on your head race Jordan stole the lime light making all the parent spectators say 'Aaaah!' at the same time with his fabulous aeroplane style balancing skill. He balanced the bean bag brilliantly all the way out & half way back before it toppled off his head! He caught it nicely with his arm & shoulder! Lots of the other kids saw how good Jordan's technique was & started to copy him!
Jordan loves to run & he grinned through most of this running race (except for when I took a photo!).
Several of us watching thought the bounce the ball & run race would be chaotic with balls bouncing off in all directions (one boy couldn't even run in a straight line!) but the kids were great at it, much better than I remember any of my peers being when I was at school.
This race was Jordan's favourite. He had to run with a tennis ball & balance it on a cone half way along the course then run to the end, collecting the tennis ball on the way back.
This little duck is one of the school's new bins that Jordan was so excited about when the headteacher, Mr Anderson showed it to the school in his assembly before half term. It quacks when you put rubbish in it or at least it should do but the teachers have taken the batteries out! I was most disappointed not to hear the noise when I put some rubbish in it today!!! (I must admit to putting rubbish in the bin specifically to hear the noise!!!!). Anyway, I was so proud of my boy & his sporting efforts today (& all his class mates too)! He really does put his heart & soul into everything he does & it's so good to see how much he enjoys trying his best & participating in activities. His team came second by the way!
I am really pleased with this flower! I grew it & its friends from seed & it looks gorgeous at the bottom of our garden by the 'woods' (three young trees all planted close together!! Don't know what else to call it!). The wildflower seeds I planted along the fence have also started to flower too! There is something very satisfying about growing plants yourself I think.
And lastly, my beautiful boys had fun playing on their bikes this evening after tea before bedtime. Jordan has mastered cycling with stabilisers, Timmy enjoys sitting on the bike peddling backwards or playing with the toy bricks that he has put in the box on the back of the bike & Luke is determined to get cycling no matter how many times he falls off! He spends a great deal of time checking the brakes, pedals, making sure it all works & generally enjoys admiring his 'motorbike' as he calls it! My mum says he is just like his Grandad O!
Well, must sign off now! Look forward to hearing from you all again soon! ;o)

haha about being brave, having covered up my body for years, its a bit weird for me to be doing the pictures, but i don't want to forget this time.
Having had eating issues (in recovery for 3 years nearly now) i think maybe its time i celebrated my body for something LOL. even if i still think i look vile!
As for names, A girls name we had picked out from when we started TTC (2 years ago!) has stuck now, so shes going to be called Maica (say it My-ka) but we're not sure about the second name yet!!
