The Wanderers Return!

Many months ago I purchased from eBay 3 Shawn the Sheep toys for the boys as a Christmas present. I was so organised that I forgot all about them until Christmas Day. I dashed downstairs to find them for the boys but I could only find one little Shawn! It remained a mystery as the where the other 2 had gone until yesterday morning when they turned up in Lee's wardrobe!!!! I knew Shawn was a cheeky little sheep but I didn't know he would sneak off like that without telling me!!!!!!!!! All day yesterday Jordan, Timothy & Luke played with their Shawn the Sheep toys & had so much fun with them so it was worth the wait! Really glad they have turned up at last! :O)
On Thursday we had a very busy day doing lots of jobs around the house & the like. Lee's Dad came to our house to do some work for our landlord in his Gas man capacity. We now have a sparkling, serviced boiler, cooker & fire complete with new coals & new paint! Another job that was also done was putting a cowl on the chimney pot. I am VERY pleased with this job as it means Mr Pigeon can no longer poo down the chimney onto our hearth & when it rains heavily we don't get a wet if we are sitting by the fireplace!! Yippeeee!

The boys played out on our front driveway for a large part of day whizzing round & round on their scooters & car. They were delighted when the recycling men came for the garden waste. Watching the bin men is quite a highlight for the boys so I took a piccie although I think the bin men thought I was a bit odd!!!
The boys & I did a LOT of weeding in our garden in the afternoon too. I love how easily conversations about God come up with the boys. A simple task weeding the patio lead to me re-telling Jesus' parable of the sower & how different people respond to hearing the gospel. We had along chat about all kinds of spiritual things while we weeded! It was fun! I just love how every day activities can help us all understand spiritual things more easily & how my children prompt me to think more about God. I guess that is just the way Jesus intended it to be!
I am REALLY enjoying my new camera & finding out all about the different settings. As I sat in the garden yesterday with the boys I snapped away at various things. I did a little photo shoot with Jordan too which was brilliant! Isn't he just sooooo gorgeous?!
I love the detail that I can get with the new camera too. This daisy is amazing!
These lovely pink roses were from my friend Jean for my birthday back in March. There are so many buds & flowers! The rose is called Carefree Days & it smells wonderful!
During some time drawing with the chalks on the patio Timmy suddenly pipes up 'Look! Lots of 'T' for Timmy!' I watched quite amazed as he wrote lots of capital Ts on the paving slab with great ease. That boy never ceases to astound us! He has taken lately to praying at all times in the day & his little voice can often be heard in the middle of play saying 'Dear God, thankyou for today.....' & he will talk to God for several minutes about his hopes for his birthday cake, or what he has done during the day so far. It really puts a smile on our faces & on God's too I am sure!
Lastly, a random photo of our washing! I love rainbows, I always have. As a child I always sorted felt tip pens into rainbow order before putting them away in the packet & I have continued to sort colours into rainbow order since then. Yesterday I merrily pegged out the washing in a random fashion. when I had finished I sat down on the garden bench to enjoy the sunshine. After a little while I noticed that I had even pegged Jordan's pants on the line in rainbow order! What a nutter eh?!
Hope you are all well & having a great weekend!

Strange how we have habits that seem subconscious! I am always counting- especially the pegs when I peg out the washing! I often tell myself off!
Have just read another brilliant Michael Morpurgo book "Alone on the wide, wide sea"
Also put a bit on the Springwatch message board- a job to do!
Love MUM
