I've been thinking about watery things the past few days as Lee had his conditional baptism service at church yesterday. Basically a conditional baptism is one that is done when it's uncertain if someone has been baptised or, in Lee's case, when documentation can't be found to prove baptism. It was a fun service. Lee even 'cried' like a baby does after he was splashed with the water! Hee hee! We don't have any photos from the day but I thought these previously un-blogged watery pictures from our summer holiday last year would be perfect to commemorate the occasion. And thinking of water & Godly things has put the negro spiritual 'Wade in the Water' on my mind. It takes it's name from the bible verse John 5:4

Last year we spent the afternoon at Wenchford. It was a stonking hot day so it was lovely to be able to splash about in the cool waters.

Jordan thought it the best thing ever!

And so did the other three!

Ooooops!! Wobbly girl & wobbly photo as I tried to save her, mid 'click', from her fall! Actually, she steadied herself just before I held onto her!

Annie-Joy was delighted watching some older girls playing in the water.

I tried to get the boys to pose for a photo. They showed willing but really were itching to get away & play again! AJ is in the background plopping stones into the water.

Lee watched from the bank. He was looking after the shoes or something I think!! LOL!

AJ spent ages picking up stones from the stream bed & dropping them from a height to make lots of satisfying little plops!

When it was time to go the boys 'hid'.....

.... and AJ sat down in the water with a determined 'No!' I can't remember how we lured them away but I do know that they all eventually went back to the car without a fuss. Such simple entertainment & such a fun day. :o)

It was a lovely, blessed "christening" (LOL) yesterday and you did well with leading the music!
Do hope we'll be able go to Wenchford (Blakeney straights as the locals called it) with you in the summer. It's a fab place isn't it?
Hope you had a quiet productive day with the boys back at school.
